What is sublimation printing and why choose it?

Sublimation transfers your design into the fibers or poly-coating using heat and pressure. The payoff? Ultra-vivid color, soft handfeel (nothing heavy on top), and wash-durability that doesn’t crack or peel. It shines on light/white 100% polyester (65%+ works) and poly-coated hard goods like mugs, plates, and aluminum photo panels. Not ideal for black garments or plain cotton—if that’s your jam, we’ll route you to DTF or DTG. Perfect for team jerseys, performance wear, photo gifts, and full-color all-over looks.

Sublimation Printing-Specs & file prep

  • Best fabrics: 100% polyester (light colors/white). Not for cotton (unless poly-coated).

  • White ink: Not available—designs use the garment’s base for “white.”

  • Files: PNG or PDF, 300 DPI at size, sRGB, transparent background if needed.

  • Color note: Sublimation is CMYK-converted; we’ll do a quick preflight so there are no surprises.

How It Works (Our 5-Step DTG Flow)

Tell us your idea (logo, photo, roster).

Share your goal and end use (uniforms, gifts, merch), garment or item (light/white polyester, poly-coated hard goods), sizes and quantities. We’ll guide sizing and color limits for sublimation.

Design (layout & tweaks).

We prep art at true size (300 DPI, sRGB) and dial in placement for tees, mugs, or metal panels. If your piece needs dark cotton, we’ll steer you to DTF/DTG—easy pivot.

Proof (digital soft proof).

You’ll get a mockup with color notes. One quick revision round is included. Approve in writing and we’re green-lit for production.

Production (press & QC).

We print to sublimation paper, transfer with heat, then check color, alignment, and finish. For larger runs, we OK the first unit before rolling.
